Hash brown Casserole

Comfort food at its finest. Takes a new spin on the ordinary hash browns! You can add things like ham, bacon, mushrooms, anything you like, but it is delicious all on its own!

2 pounds frozen hash browns, thawed
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup of milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black or white pepper
3 cups Colby Jack shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350
In large bowl combine soup, onion, butter, sour cream, milk, salt,
pepper and 2 cups of cheese.
Mix well. Add hash browns. Mix well again.
Pour into greased 13x9 inch casserole dish.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake for one hour or until bubbly and golden.
Let sit 10 minutes then serve.
