Homemade Chicken Potpie

Warm, delicious, creamy inside. Golden and flaky on the top. This is fast easy and delicious!


5 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon sage
2 cups cooked, chopped chicken
1/4 cup parsley
1/2 cup chopped onions
10 oz frozen mixed vegetables
Puff Pastry or Phyllo dough

In skillet melt butter and add onions, parsley and flour.
Stir continuously and add salt, pepper, chicken broth and heavy cream.
On medium high heat, cook until mixture thickens.
Add chicken and vegetables, heat thoroughly.
Pour mixture into casserole dish, individual dishes or 3 quart oven proof dish.
If using casserole dish, lay the puff pasty on top of filling to cover. Brush with melted butter and cook at 350 until pasty has risen and is brown.
